muru-D startup accelerator female founders 1

March Open House Wrap Up

On Wednesday this week we held our first Sydney Open House of the year.

We invited four female Co-founders from our latest cohort SYD5 (Dr Claire Jenkins, Co-founder Vetchat, Lisa Qi, Co-founder Share With Oscar, Aivee Robinson, Co-founder Catalyser and Caroline Lepron, Co-founder Cookitoo) to share a bit about their startup and then ask for feedback/input from our guests in an “experimental” workshop style.

The night kicked off with an intro from Julie Trell, Head of muru-D, before a short panel discussion with our founders, lead by Melissa Pye, Head of Storytelling, at muru-D.

And then the night got fun and interactive.

The guest were divided into 4 groups who made their way around the room to where each of the founders had set up “station” to ask questions, gain feedback and run experiments. The night finished off with the founders sharing some of their learnings for the activities.

Caroline Lepron, Co-founder of Cookitoo said “I knew the night would be helpful but I was in awe at the enthusiasm that people had to genuinely help. And they had some great ideas”

Thanks to everyone who came along and supported our founders. We hope to see you at our next Open House on April 18. Grab your tickets here.
