muru-D - We can help you scale smarter and faster through our startup accelerator programs in Australia and Asia

muru-D Expands: More Capital, 500 Startups, Chinaccelerator

It’s another huge week for muru-D.

A few days to go before Sydney applications close, Australian Digital Summit, Sydstart and some big, BIG, BIIIIG announcements.

Like the entrepreneurs running the tech companies that we aim to accelerate, the team at muru-D is constantly thinking about, testing and rolling out new improvements.

In both SYD1 and SYD2 cohorts we saw the entrepreneurs face two particular challenges (out of the many they deal with) and we’ve worked hard over the last six months to address these.

Better Access To Big Markets

“How do I drive quickly into large, global markets like China and USA?”

To help provide a great connections and a useful next step for the muru-D companies, we have established stronger relationships with some excellent organisations.

  1. New partnership with Chinaccelerator in Shanghai.
  2. New alliance with 500 Startups in Silicon Valley.

More Capital

“How can we maintain momentum and keep growing after demo day on my way to break even or raising all the capital we need?”

Demo day connects you to hundreds of potential investors and advisors but it’s just the start of the capital raising process. We want you to keep fuel in the tank for growth so you’re raising on the up, not starving for money.

In order to solve his, we’ve massively increased the funding opportunities and also increased the initial valuation for companies that are selected into muru-D. Our aim now is to faciliate $200,000 of investment through our program and networks. This capital will come from muru-D, advisors, external investors and a new venture fund established by some of our mentors.

Here is a visual guide to how the new funding model:

There is always more work to do and but we hope these additions to muru-D increase the quality of opportunties for Australian technology entrepreneurs.
