Why is IT risk mitigation important for a startup?
Startups should have the right plan that can balance their needs from day 1 as well as their future needs for when they’re ready to scale. It’s so important that it’s not resource heavy and that it takes in to account all the providers that the startup will be working with. With the majority of partners and third-party providers being on the cloud, it means that you need to be able to trust that their services are secure too. How do you choose a partner and protect your startup to ensure that you and your customers aren’t compromised? That is why IT risk mitigation is important.
What are 3 things that founders should know about cybersecurity?
- Being vulnerable to attackes means that you can damage your reputation with your customers and employees
- It’ll cost you a lot more to fix if something goes wrong, than to put things in place to prevent a breach of data
- A lot of the measures to protect your startup can be very simple to implement – you just need to have the systems set up as early as possible.
