With English fast becoming the global language, a mastery of the language is now crucial for social and economic success. At present, billions of people around the world struggle with English pronunciation because english is not a phonetic language i.e the 26 letters in our alphabet do not represent the 40+ sounds we say.
At Funetics (formerly Peep Digital), our mission is to ensure that every household, workplace and school speaks English as a first or second language. We have developed a multi-sensory, digital English pronunciation platform that is embeddable into any digital text.
The power of Funetics lies in our proprietary system. Our colour coded and numbered system shows the syllables, vowels, consonants and intonations of words. Additionally, we have mapped every sound in the English language to an accurate animated representation of the human mouth both front on and side on. We also have analytics and diagnostic testing in the works. At present, we have 16,000 words broken down into their entirety, with UK, US and AUS accents available.
