Who won the muru-D Golden Ticket Pitch Event in Sydney?

On Wednesday night, 130 people went along to the Sydney Startup Hub to watch 50 founders pitch their startup.

Each founder had only 60 seconds to pitch their startup story and share with the audience what problem they’re solving, how they’re solving it, the market size, what traction they’ve got and why they’re the team to do it. It’s a lot to cover in a minute and can be very nerve racking in front of large crowd and four judges. It was impressive to see that so many people had rehearsed and were able to smash out their pitch before the buzzer rang.

The judges included Julie Trell, Head of muru-D; Alan Jones, seed investor, adventurer and accelerator mentor, Laurie Wespes, Co-founder of Snooper and muru-D alumni; and Ian Gardiner, investor and Co-founder of Innovation Bay.

The judges had only 15 minutes to deliberate, which is no easy task. The winners selected were well deserving and include:

Richard Gosper – HiyaPurpose

Amanda Siqueira – Vapar

Martin Karafilis – Tiliter Technology

The winners receive a “fast pass” straight through to the interview stage of the application process for the next Sydney program, SYD6.
