Pitch Night Video

Last Friday at muru-D we had 100 people watch 50 amazing one minute pitches.

The quality was high, with some very strong stories and ideas shared. Well done to all those who braved the strict time keeper!

Some feedback was shared throught the night on tips for good short pitches;

  1. Breath.
  2. It’s better to say a few things well, then rush a lot of things.
  3. It’s better for one person to pitch than two because you lose something handing over.
  4. Repetition is important.
  5. Repetition is important (sorry).
  6. Using stories is a great way to be remembered.
  7. Briefly telling us why the team can do this is good.
  8. Remember that a one minute pitch, or elevator pitch is about a tease to try and get another meeting.
  9. With a one minute pitch you shouldn’t need notes. Just talk from your heart. If you don’t know your business enough to talk for one minute well, then you need to go to a networking event and tell 100 people what you do.
