muru-D - We can help you scale smarter and faster through our startup accelerator programs in Australia and Asia

Helpful startup tools you might not have heard of

Along our travels over the last few months I’ve met a lot of startups & come across a lot of great tools that are out there to help budding entrepreneurs.

I’ve put together an eclectic mix of folks I’ve met who you might not have heard of, startups that have products or services that might help you in your quest for colossal growth – but without costing the earth.

The first is You Chews who after getting bored of eating very average pizza at too many networking events, decided to give people an alternative.  They source gorgeous artisan food from local chefs, cafe’s and caterers & then ensure the food is delivered to your event perfectly, for a very reasonable price.

We’ve used them for many an event at muru-D & the food has always been excellent.

If you need an event catering & you want to make a good impression on your audience, these guys are definitely worth considering.

Next up is AppInstruct, which as the name would suggest is a programme that helps you build amazing apps – everything from system design, UX, marketing and legal skills are covered in the course along with bucket loads of case studies to bring it all to life.

A number of the teams that made it into our top 40 shortlisted startups for muru-D have used the course too, so this product seems to be a really good fit for folks who are looking for help before they apply to an accelerator programme like muru-D.

Even better – the course can be completed in as little as 15 hours and as the Course is all hosted online, you may study when and where most convenient to you.

The last startup I wanted to mention is for all you socially responsible entrepreneurs out there, it’s called StartSomeGood.

It’s a crowdfunding site specifically designed for the unique needs of social entrepreneurs.

StartSomeGood provides social entrepreneurs with a platform to raise funds and build a community of supporters — all in a fun, engaging and community-driven way.

Their site taps into the power of community, allowing social entrepreneurs to ask for financial support from supporters from around the world.  They also have a whole host of tools to update supporters and provide rewards in exchange for support – on their first campaign, and for future campaigns down the road.

They even give you an awesome 101 free email course on how to create a great campaign.

Here’s their link so you can get started: http://startsomegood.com/

If you know of other cool startups that you think we should highlight as well, please do let us know, we’d love to hear about them!
